Working on an indie project is an exercise in pain and frustration. Most of the time you have grand dreams at the start, which have to be hacked down into a stub because you’re short on all the elements required of successful project management: time and money.

I participated in the Katawa Shoujo Secret Santa this year, and pics start going up once a day for fifteen days beginning on Friday. When the picture I did goes live, I’ll be sharing it on deviantArt too in all its 19.75” x 20.25” glory.
I’m also going to do some profile pictures for the MC and three path girls for Painter Story, the visual novel I’ve been working on for most of the year now. The team still has no actual artists (blame the lack of writing progress, since we can’t attract artists without having something for them to draw), but I’d really like to get some character art up on the project’s site. I won’t be starting that until some time next week, though, at the earliest — too much IRL crap to deal with!
Anyway, I have no pretensions about what I’ve done and what I’ll be doing. I can’t colour very well (the KSSS pic is all flat colours, no shading or highlights), and I have poor pen control when lining, as viewing full-size will demonstrate. But for someone who only this summer couldn’t draw at all, I think I show a lot of improvement from my early dA posts, and perhaps even some potential to do better.
